He was born in 1975 in Isparta Eğirdir. He completed his Primary and Secondary School in Isparta Gürkan Primary and Secondary School, and his high school education in Isparta ŞAİK High School. He graduated from Süleyman Demirel Faculty of Medicine in 2000. In 2000 – 2002, he worked as a general practitioner at Tokat Reşadiye State Hospital. In 2002-2004, he worked as a general practitioner in İslamköy Health Center / Isparta. In 2003, he did his military service as a Medical Lieutenant in the Artvin/Hopa Border Division. He started his specialization training at the 3rd General Surgery Clinic in İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital in 2004 and completed his specialization in 2010 with his thesis titled “The Effect of a Simple and Economical Laparoscopic Training Box Model on the Learning Curve of Surgical Assistants”. After completing his compulsory state service at Konya Bozkır State Hospital in 2011-2012, he worked as an assistant professor at Medikal Park Hospital and Izmir University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery between 2012 and 2014. He worked at İzmir Private Karataş Hospital between June 2014 and April 2016. He worked at Izmir Ekol Hospital for a while.
His main areas of study and interest are laparoscopic surgery, bariatric surgery, metabolic surgery, endocrine surgery, colon and rectal diseases.
He was awarded second place in the poster presentation at the 5th Surgical Research Congress in 2009 with “Sling – Needle Designed for Gallbladder Traction during Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy”.
In the 6th Surgical Research Congress in 2011, he was awarded first place in the invention with the “Sling-Needle Designed for Gallbladder Traction During Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy” and second place again in 2011 at Ege Surgical Days “Innovation Technology and Inventor Surgeons” with “Laparoscopic Stone Collection Pliers” in the Patent Competition.
He holds a patent for “A HANGER NEEDLE” (2013-G-378558) used in laparoscopic surgeries.
