The sentences describing how Ezgi lost weight, how she started a new life and her new life are in the following lines…..

HOW MY LIFE STARTED TO CHANGE

I had sleeve gastrectomy on April 2, 2018 and my life started to change.

If we look at my life before the surgery; As long as I can remember myself, I have always been a child with an appetite and a lot of food. At home, “don’t eat too much!”, “don’t eat anymore!” I grew up with their words. When I was in high school, I thought that these weights were a problem, so I went to the doctor and met my first diet list. But I did not fit into this list on the pretext that I am preparing for university exams. Then the university years started and my body started to give alarm when there was no change in my eating habits. As a woman, it was my ovaries that sounded the first alarm. When I went to the doctor, I learned that I had “polycystic ovary syndrome” and that this disease was caused by being overweight. At the same time, I learned that this disease causes more weight if left untreated. Immediate treatment and with a special dietitian
I started to lose weight. At that time I was 125 kilos and I lost 25 kilos with diet and got rid of the disease.

HOW I DECIDED TO SURGERY
I gained back the weight I lost in the period until the sleeve gastrectomy surgery. Meanwhile, I went to dieticians and acupuncture treatments, but I could not get any results. On the subject of surgery, my dear mother always asked, “I wonder if you should have surgery?” He was constantly pushing me by saying, but I was against the surgery, why should I be, I was just saying I’m fine like this. About six months before my surgery, our family friend Dr. Onur Dülgeroğlu asked me why I did not consider surgery. I also defended what I thought was dangerous and my “I’m fine like that” thought. Dülgeroğlu told me more about the details, before and after of sleeve gastrectomy surgery, perhaps more than any doctor has ever talked to a patient. I was convinced too, but I thought I had to prepare myself for the surgery. First, I started seeing a psychologist. I would like to underline how effective it is in making the final decision about the surgery. It made me understand why I was imprisoning myself in this obese body and how I could get out of it. Most importantly, I thought that most of the things that I saw as a problem in my life were caused by my excess weight, and I actually thought about living this life to the fullest.

I realized that I’m not alive..

While continuing the negotiations, one day I realized that the scale at home did not show my weight anymore.
its maximum gauge was 150 kilograms. After this point, I said okay, I’m going to have this surgery and
I said it will be before my birthday in 2018. I did research on doctors and hospitals. Operation
I talked to people who have been through and got recommendations and finally decided on my doctor.

FROM 154 KG TO 72 KG

In the first meeting, I learned that I was 154 kg and said Ezgi, no going back anymore. After all my pre-operative tests and controls were done, I was operated on a Monday morning when I was 154 kg. The operation was performed by Türker Karabuğa, General Surgery Specialist, Obesity and Diabetes Surgeon at Kordon Obesity Center. As I am writing this, more than a year has passed since the surgery and I lost 82 kilos and got down to 72 kilos. The goal is to see 70 kilos, so let’s not talk about two kilos anymore 🙂 I can say that I have removed one more size from my current size. Of course, I was renewed not only in my body, but also spiritually.

I STARTED LIFE AGAIN.
Now I have created a tune that smiles more, loves itself and enjoys life. When I saw what I had accomplished, my self-confidence increased. With the support of the people around me, especially my close circle and family, I have become a happier person now. I got myself new habits and hobbies. Now I do sports, eat healthy and try to instill a healthy life in the people around me. Again, once again, we come to this life and this life belongs to us. We must live the way we want to live, and we must not give up or give up, no matter what obstacle comes our way. I made it, I saved my own life, why can’t you?
Love…
